Certificate in Intermediate Studies

The Certificate in Intermediate Studies has been created as the next step for those who have completed the requirements of the Certificate in Basic Studies. It includes ten courses which rest upon the solid foundation of the previous thirteen courses as it expand the student's knowledge in biblical studies, theology and practical ministry. These courses will be offered at the same time every Monday night as the courses leading to the Certificate in Basic Studies.

This collection of courses, all taught on CD's and DVD's by Dr. C. Dexter Wise III, is equal to 30 credit hours in The C. Dexter Wise School of Ministry. Taking these courses in the school at the regular rate would cost $1,200.00 per person.

However, for a limited time only, this complete program is being offered at an incredibly affordable price of just $499.00 per person! (Courses are $50 each if taken separately)

At the completion of this series of courses students will be awarded a Certificate in Intermediate Studies from The Wise School of Ministry and may apply to receive an Associates Degree in Basic Studies from The Faith Christian University in Washington, DC.

The first classroom sessions start on October 5, 2009 with graduation set for June 27, 2010.
Courses must be paid for in full or payments arranged by the beginning of each session.

The Black Presence in the Bible. (3) This course is based on the book of the same name by Rev. Walter McCray. It will explore more deeply the names, practices and people in the Bible who are actually African or connected with Black people.

The Black Church in America. (3) The unique expression of Christianity called the Black Church will be examined in this course. Its history, formation and impact on the Black community and American culture will be elevated.

Practical Ministry:

Vision to Victory: What it Takes to Lead. (3) Here is a course in which Dr. Wise teaches that the most important trait of a leader is vision. He then goes on to define what vision is, what vision does and how vision leads to victory.

Common Sense Counseling. (3) Counseling is not really that difficult. In fact, for the most part, it is just common sense. Dr. Wise will teach those who take this course how to do common sense counseling based on the word of God.
